characteristics

An upright, widely branched perennial with numerous individual flowers. The dark crimson buds are as visually appealing as the bright pink, fluffy flowerheads which resemble blazing stars.
Also known as rocky mountain blazingstar, smooth gayfeather. A member of the aster family.
