characteristics

Stems on this perennial are upright and very sticky. Narrow leaves are lily-like; mostly basal with the occasional alternate leaf along the stem. Clusters of 2 - 3 tiny white to cream flowers grow at the end of short sticky stalks. Prior to opening, flowers have pink to red tips. Seeds are contained in a capsule. A member of the lily family.
Also known as sticky tofieldia and sticky false asphodel or false asphodel.
